rental application

Once we know you're eligible to live at Nordheim Court, we will ask you to complete a Rental Application allowing us to check your credit, rental, income and criminal histories*.

Verification of income will be required for approval of your application. Income must be at least 3 times the monthly rent. In lieu of this requirement, a verifiable Statement of Support or co-signature may be required. In this case the person signing the Statement of Support will be screened for credit-worthiness($13 processing fee).

Rental criteria for all students eligible for residence at Nordheim Court include:

  • You must be a registered, single student at the University of Washington, Seattle campus.

  • No minimum length of rental history required for an approval. Poor landlord references are grounds for denial.

  • Credit history must be characterized as "good" or better from the credit checking agency. If bankruptcy has been filed, the bankruptcy must be discharged for at least 1 year with no derogatory credit history after the bankruptcy was reported to the credit report. If bankruptcy has not been discharged then the application will be denied.

  • NOTE: The lack of a credit history will not be held against you. Complete list of Rental Criteria and reasons for application denial.
  • Employment verification is not required for approval of application.

If your application is approved, you'll be ready to move in!
